The Crawford Chronicles #3
“Godspeed”
February 28, 2020
Prayer Requests
1) Austin’s first flight - Praise the Lord that Austin did amazingly well on the flights to and from Edmonton. I think we have a baby born to travel!
2) House Sale - Well that didn’t take long! We accepted an offer on our house 5 days after it went on the market. Our closing date is April 1st. Pray that the rest of the details regarding the sale go through smoothly. Pray that we will be able to find somewhere to stay now that the house has sold, or that the remainder of our support would come in so we can just relocate to Senegal.
3) Support Update - Support raising is going extremely well. Currently, we have raised 68% of the $3425/month we require. Pray that the Lord would lead us to people who would be willing to partner with us.
4) Travels - Pray for continued safety for Graham as he continues his travels in Alberta and British Columbia.
Introduction
Greetings from sunny Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta! Kathleen and I thought it would be a good idea to update you all on how our Western Canada trip is going so far. We’ve been amazed at how the Lord has brought things together thus far and are excited to share with you the things that have been happening this month.
Go West Young Man
On February 12th Kathleen, Austin and I began our journey from Fredericton to Edmonton. This was going to be Austin’s first flight so we had no idea what we were in for. We decided it would be best to take the earliest flight we could find so we’d have the best chance of Austin sleeping through the majority of the flight. Our flight from Fredericton to Montreal was at 5:20am, the earliest flight I’ve ever been on. Well, someone must have been praying, because Austin slept through quite a bit of the two flights. We arrived in Edmonton exhausted but thankful that the trip wasn’t a total disaster.

House Sale
On February 10th our house officially went up for sale. It took some work to stage the house as we were packing to leave for Edmonton, but the timing could not have worked out better. Being in Alberta for the first two weeks of the sale would allow our real estate agent unrestricted access to our house. This also meant we wouldn’t have to be cleaning up the house whenever someone wanted to see it. For those who are unaware, keeping a house clean with a 14 month old boy living in it is practically impossible. So, this would save us a lot of headaches. Our prayer was that the house would sell while we were away but I knew that this may be a big ask. As it turns out, not too big for God! On February 15th, a mere 5 days after the house went on sale, we accepted an offer for more than we originally paid for the house. What a blessing! Our closing date is April 1st, so please pray that the rest of the process of the sale goes smoothly and that Kathleen and I would be able to find some temporary housing until we depart for Senegal.

Support Update
Some of you may be wondering how our support raising is going. We’ve been overwhelmed by the response we’ve received. Currently we have 68% of our financial goal met ($3425/month). Pray that the Lord would continue to lead us to the people he wants us partnered with.
Travels
On February 25th Kathleen and Austin returned to Fredericton, New Brunswick. Once again Austin was a pleasure to travel with. Kathleen did an excellent job taking care of him and getting all their belongings on and off each plane.
I will be remaining in Western Canada until March 12th. See below the remainder of my itinerary:

Conclusion
Well, it’s been quite a month. In many ways things seems to be happening very quickly. The house sold in four days. We’ve gone from 13% supported to 68% supported in a single month. I’m not sure exactly why things seem to be going so quickly. Does the Lord want us to leave earlier than July? Perhaps in April or May? I’m not sure. However, I want to assure you all that this is not our primary goal. It’s exciting that things are happening quickly but, in my mind, it is far more important that we do things in Gods timing. At “Godspeed” if you will. Pray that we would continue to focus on doing things His way, not the quick and easy way. Pray that we would sense his leading at every step. Whether it be fast or slow, pray that we would continue to move at Godspeed. Until next time.
Blessings,
Graham & Kathleen Crawford (and Austin)
